The River Project is back in the rehearsal studio at the danceXchange with choreographer Kate Mason and dancer Sioda Martin preparing for the next group that will be part of our film! Watch this space for updates.
The River project is a collaborative animated film based on a bespoke piece of contemporary dance, which has been carefully created to represent and reflect the wider and diverse communities in Birmingham.
The Project is specifically designed to inform participants from the wider community about the creative processes of dance and animation, and encourage them in their own creative journeys. These participants will consist of five groups of approximately forty people from different ages ranging from 8-78 yrs all working collaboratively to create the film.
The River aims to connect different communities by using dance as an accessible tool of communication.
